Center for Tebtunis Papyri Challenge Grant: Anglo-California Foundation to match donations

July 18, 2013

The Center for the Tebtunis Papyri is pleased to announce that it has received a $100,000 challenge grant from the Anglo-California Foundation. The grant is intended as the cornerstone for an endowment supporting CTP’s research projects, training for its students at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and outreach programs. In remarks at the Center’s annual Distinguished Lecture, Anglo-California Trustee Brad Barber expressed his hope that the Foundation’s support would "be helpful in making a gem such as this more well known to the rest of the community, and better able to support itself and to tell its wonderful story."

The Anglo-California Foundation will match, to the extent of its grant, any new gifts or pledges of $1,000 or more that are received by CTP before 21 June 2014. To make a donation towards the challenge, please visit
