Memorial for Greenie: sound recording available for a short time

More than 120 friends of Crawford H. Greenewalt, Jr. (Greenie) gathered on Sunday, October 28, to honor his memory and recall his friendship and scholarship, with anecdotes drawn from the whole span of his career, from his student days to his last days in the Bay Area.

A sound recording of the event is available online for a limited time, thanks to the efforts of Professor Andrew Garrett of Linguistics. The recording begins with the introduction of Classics Chair John Ferrari (the first several seconds in which he identified himself are missing).
