Donations invited to increase Greenewalt fellowship endowment
October 22, 2012
In connection with the October 28, 2012, memorial event honoring Emeritus Professor Crawford H. Greenewalt, Jr., the Department invites friends to contribute to the endowment for graduate student support established in his name in 2010.
The Crawford H. Greenewalt, Jr. Graduate Student Support Fund in Classics was created at the time of Professor Greenewalt's retirement and was endowed by an anonymous donation of $10,000 with $10,000 of matching funds from the Chancellor.  The interest from the fund will help support graduate students in  Classics.  All are invited to contribute to increase this endowment to ensure that the Greenewalt fund has a larger impact on future support. All donations by faculty and students made through December 31, 2013, will be matched by the Chancellor. To donate, use either method described below.
As of October 22, several faculty colleagues have already donated or pledged a total of $5000 (to be doubled by the Chancellor's Challenge match).
